Typical home in Whispering Pines Fish Camp in Central Florida

Another week has passed and even though I lead a quiet life, seems like lots of things happening. I have Book 5 in my mind and actually have the whole book outlined step by step. I'm forcing myself to take this break and get some much needed Spring Cleaning done before I dive in and start writing! I'm sure you can relate - to the Spring Cleaning part..... My sister came to visit for a couple of days and that was a busy time. Always a pleasure to have her around.

Also this past week, I completed my six month's cancer check-up. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer almost four years aga and had an operation to remove the turmors. All went well, except when the analysis of the tumors came back, it was bad news. A serious form of cancer that if not treated with chemo, radiation, an operation to remove bladder, part of colon and female parts (eye roll), I would die within two years. My husband of 43 years had passed away from pancreatic cancer nine years before and I knew what all the chemo and radiation entailed. I could not go through that alone, or should I say - I could not go through that again. I know my children would have been there for me, but they have lives and I did not want to be a burden -- so, I chose to take an uncoventional path. Homeopathic. That is another story in itself, but venture to say that so far it has been successful. Still, need to get checked every six months for any reoccuring signs and so blessed that there have been none.

On to more pleasant things... I'm loving Spring here in Kentucky! Rebirth, beautiful colors, inspirting for my art work and writing. It's all good except for insistent pollen! Cough, Sneeze... But, better than snow!

A couple of years ago, I moved from a 2800 sq ft patio home into a 1,000 sq ft apartment. I got tired of things breaking and me having to replace them. Now, I just send a text to maintenace and it gets fixed! No stress! I downsized so much and still look around at piles of things that I do not need. It's just stuff to clean and keep picked up - I seriously just want to write and paint and not do any of that! So, thinking about even going smaller. I just don't need this much stuff! Having a talk with myself and we'll see how that turns out.

And one last thing. If you like my books, please tell your friends. I would love to have more readers. Send them this website address and they can make up their mind if they want to read or not. Thanks and as always,

Blessings,

Linda
