Whispering Pines Fishing Camp - Lucy and Poppi Book 1 - is a Cozy Mystery set in a beautiful, lush fishing camp on Lake Kissimmee Florida. Surrounded by palm trees, pines, and ancient cypress trees draped in Spanish Moss, the inhabitants of this community are soon discovered as vibrant, intelligent and lovely people. The main character, Lucy Parker (76), is the communities official nosey neighbor, or as she calls herself 'information management' coordinator. She is an intelligent, feisty, and loving grandmother and wonderful friend to her neighbors. Her energy knows no bounds and is equal to a woman half her age. She invites her equally vibrant, intelligent and lovely granddaughter, Poppi Parker (33) to visit her at the fish camp to help her solve a mysterious death of one of the neighbor's wives. Poppi is a former Detective of the Tampa PD and is currently working as an independent Private Investigator. She arrives at Whispering Pines and is soon drug into the crazy day-to-day activities while trying to discover how the wife died - or was killed. About the Author
I was retired, widowed, 76 years young and floundering around for something to fill my days. I revitalized my painting hobby during Covid and ended up with over 100 paintings. I filled my walls and gave paintings to every friend and family member I had with no other place to put them. What to do now? I had always dreamed of being an author -- my free time was reading many - many books. When my favorite authors weren't producing new books fast enough, I created Lucy and Poppi in my mind. They had all of my favorite characteristics and their adventures kept me up late at night dreaming about them. I finally decided that they needed to come out and play. I have now published three ebooks in the Whispering Pines, Lucy and Poppi Book Series with Book 4 in the works. It just proves that you it is never too late to start something new.
